Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival NJP / IXB – Phuentsholing (Approx. 4–5 hrs drive)

Meet our representative upon arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Drive to Phuentsholing, the Gateway of Bhutan, situated beside the Indian town of Jaigaon.
➡️ Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 2: Phuentsholing – Thimphu (Approx. 175 kms / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities (permits issued by the Department of Immigration). After receiving permits, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
➡️ Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit:

  • National Memorial Chorten – built in honor of Bhutan’s Third King.
  • Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point) – panoramic view of Thimphu Valley.
  • Changangkha Monastery – oldest temple in Thimphu.
  • Takin Preserve Center – see Bhutan’s national animal.
  • Changlimithang Stadium & Archery Ground – national sport display.
  • Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory – traditional Bhutanese Dehsho paper.
  • Institute for Zorig Chusum (Arts & Crafts School) – famous for 13 traditional arts.
    ➡️ Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdue (Approx. 75 kms / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, drive through Dochula Pass (10,000 ft) offering breathtaking Himalayan views.
Visit:

  • Punakha Dzong – majestic fortress at the confluence of Pho & Mo Chhu Rivers.
  • Sangchen Dorji Lhendrup Nunnery – serene hilltop monastery.
    ➡️ Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

Day 5: Punakha – Paro (Approx. 135 kms / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Paro, Bhutan’s most beautiful valley. En route, enjoy the Shaba River Point and Paro Airport Viewpoint.

Day 6: Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit:

  • Ta Dzong (National Museum) – historic fortress museum.
  • Rinpung Dzong – stunning architectural marvel.
  • Drukgyel Dzong – ancient ruins symbolizing Bhutanese victory over Tibet.
  • Kyichu Lhakhang – one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
    Evening free for shopping at Paro Market for handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 7: Paro – Phuentsholing (Approx. 175 kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Phuentsholing. Check-in at hotel and relax.
