DAY 1 – WELCOME TO REYKJAVIK
Arrive at Keflavik airport and after clearing customs and immigration we proceed towards Reykjavik.
Proceed for check in at hotel. Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country's capital and largest
city. It's home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. Exemplifying the
island’s volcanic activity is the geothermal Blue Lagoon spa, near the village of Grind Avik. Overnight
at Reykjavik.
DAY 2 – REYKJAVIK
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to enjoy Flyover Iceland & Lava Show. After lunch we proceed to
visit the city in an orientation tour. We start the tour by visiting the picturesque church of Reykjavik,
the Hallgrimskirkja. The striking concrete Hallgrimskirkja church would appear to come out of fairy
tale movies. Later we visit the rotating Perlan glass dome offer sweeping views of the sea and nearby
hills. The Orientation tour would also take us to the old town area, drive by the harpa musical hall
later we will get some free time to explore the city on foot. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay
in Reykjavik.
DAY 3 – REYKJAVIK to AKURYERI
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Akuryeri. Enroute visit Grabrok, the crater
rises about 170 meters above the ground and is easily accessible via a footpath. It’s quite steep, so
steps have been built on part of it to make the hike easier. It extends over a distance of 90 km and is
one of the longest in Iceland. The last eruption took place about thousand years ago at Hnappadalur.
Later we continue our drive to Akuryeri where on arrival we check-in at the hotel. Our Location is far
away from any light pollution, so if the weather conditions are right, there is a chance you could see
northern lights* from hotel itself. Overnight at Akuryeri.
DAY 4 – DIAMOND CIRCLE TOUR
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Diamond Circle. Today we enjoy North Iceland's most famous
Diamond Circle tour. We stop first on route at Godafoss waterfall, the waterfall of the pagan gods.
Then we continue to the Lake Myvatn area where we spend some time exploring the wonders around
the lake, which is one of Iceland's most interesting regions with fantastic volcanic formation,
geothermal activity and lake itself, teeming with bird life, particularly ducks. Then we see
Dimmuborgir lava formations, also Skutustadur pseudocrates. Later we visit the amazing boiling mud
pools and steam vents of Namaskard, and then the Krafia area, where a series of volcanic eruptions
tool place from 1975-1984. Later we visit Dettifoss (Subject to weather conditions) which is one of the
biggest and most powerful waterfalls of Iceland.
Evening proceed back to Akuryeri. Evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Akuryeri.
DAY 5 – AKURYERI to BORGARNES (En-route Into the Glacier)
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Reykholt. Enroute visit the
beautiful Hraunfossar Waterfalls - this waterfall is formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of
about 900 meters out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of
the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull. Also visit Barnafoss – this is also known as Bjarnafoss,
which was its previous name. Barnafoss is near Hraunfossar which burst out of Hallmundarhraun
which is a great lava plain. Further visit Into the Glacier – Into the Glacier is offering access to the
largest man-made ice tunnel in the world. The ice tunnel and the caves are located high on Iceland ‘s
second largest glacier, Langjökull, where you will have an amazing opportunity to explore the glacier
and see it from the inside. To journey inside one of Iceland’s frozen giants is truly a once-in-a-lifetime
experience. Further drive Borgarnes. Arrive, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight in Borgarnes.
DAY 6 – BORGARNES to HELLA (Golden Circle)
After breakfast proceed towards Hella, we go on Golden Circle route, where we will visit Thingvellir
National Park. The park is a place of great beauty located on the biggest lake of Iceland (Silfra Lake).
where the Tectonic Plates of North America and Euro Asia continent drifts apart each year. The park is
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue our journey towards Geyser - home to the Little Geyser
& the great Strokkur Geyser which erupts about every 8 Minutes. Then we visit Gullfoss Waterfall,
one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe that falls in two folds. At the end of the day proceed to
Hella area. Overnight at Hella Area.
DAY 7 – JöKULSARLON (Glacier Lagoon) AND DIAMOND BEACH
After breakfast proceed to visit Glacier Lagoon - It is known as the Water Glacier in English, is the
largest and most voluminous ice cap in Iceland, and one of the largest in area in Europe. Enjoy
Amphibian Boat ride - The excursion takes 30– 40 minutes and includes an English-speaking guide
who explains to you the geology and facts of the lagoon. Further visit Diamond Beach, where you
have opportunity to click lots of pictures. En route we pass by Skaftafell National Park we stop for a
photo stop. Evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hella Area.
DAY 8 – BLACK SAND BEACH (DC PLANE), SELJALANDSFOSS and SKOGAFOS
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Reynisfjra. Today we are going to visit Black sand beach &
Basalt Stone. Reynisfjara is a world-famous black - sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland,
just beside the small fishing village of VÃk à Mýrdal. With its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic
waves and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of
Iceland's black sand beaches. Further proceed to visit DC Plane Wreck. Later proceed towards
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall & Skógafoss. Overnight stay in Hella area.
DAY 9 – HELLA to REYKJAVIK (BLUE LAGOON)
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Reykjavik. Before going to the main
city, we take a stop at Blue Lagoon – this is a geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions
in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grind Avik on the Reykjanes Peninsula.
Further proceed for Reykjavik to check in at the hotel. After check in the evening is free to rest and
explore the city on your own. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.
